Tanjiro
This project just about killed my right hand, as I made the dumb mistake of using only colored pencil for this entire drawing. I can't say for sure why I went with colored pencil, all I know is that for some reason it felt right to me.
Spooky Bones
This project was a class project, so I didn't have much room for a lot of creativity in this one since we had a standard we were meant to follow. We worked with black Indian ink and graphite. I used primarily graphite for my project as to avoid making a mess with the ink. I then went through and used little bits of water and a paintbrush to give where I used graphite more of an ink-like look.
Returning to your Roots
For most of my life, my art projects have almost always been used with two simple materials. Pencil and paper. This project being one of those many drawings. It features a character from a video game I've enjoyed greatly, Aloy, from 'Horizon: Zero Dawn". The setting takes place hundreds of years in the future after machines and AI took over the world, and the world has returned to its natural state, with little to no signs of industrialized civilization or pollution like we have now.
A deep Slumber
Originally, my main focus for my projects in this class was to base my projects around what lurks below in the deep sea, areas in the ocean where we still haven't explored. Of course, I clearly didn't stick to that plan.
Cardboard Mural
This project has so far been one of my favorites. We took the idea of our spirit animals and combined them with ourselves. Mine, being a dog, specifically a Shiba Inu. Originally I had planned to add the canine like features to a picture of myself, but I decided that wasn't going to work, so instead I added features of myself to the dog, those being the glasses. I was going to give it a flannel hoodie as well, but realized that wouldn't look very good when we carved them out and used them as template.
Burning Resolve
A newer project which I plan to make digitally or paint. This project showcases the character "Johnny Joestar" from what has to be my favorite manga/anime series, "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure". This one will definitely take some time, as it uses a wide variety of colors and small details.
Literally Just a Tree
So, yeah, it's a tree. Very cool. It's made with plenty of paint and plenty of hand pain.
Charcoal Drawing
I'll be honest, I really didn't like how this project was going so I sort of lost all motivation to keep working and it ended up looking like some of the fingers in the hand have no bones, they're like long, boneless chicken wings on my hand.
